Can't wait to put on a big cowboy hat and go trotting down the Sunset Strip to Paris Hilton's album release party? Las Vegas, with sunshine that beams gold and the glitzy lights of the casino, is glorious all year round. Who knows you may even meet a musical legend or two, everyone who's anyone has a foot in the door in Las Vegas. Just look at Barry Manilow and Celine Dion. If you're ready to rub elbows where the stars come out to play, you might want to start looking into Las Vegas real estate. OK, I might not have 101 reason to live in Las Vegas here, but I can certainly give you an idea.
Reasons To Live In Las Vegas
Even if the hot social climate isn't what you're looking for, Las Vegas has worked diligently in the decade to create a city in the desert that families can call home. The little desert is now the fastest growing metropolitan city in America. Las Vegas has a strong public education system that is complimented by seventy-five private schools, as well as charter schools.
At William Orr Middle School, students aren't flooded with lots of take home assignments, yet they are still challenging with a rigorous course load and productive in class assignment. Las Vegas' Paradise Elementary School specializes on tailoring a curriculum for each child and working to bring that student from their educational level to an advanced one.
Many college graduates elbow their way into American cities like San Francisco and New York City upon leaving the classroom. Perhaps, recent grads should be adding the desert to their list of possible destinations. A recent Forbes Magazine study placed Las Vegas at number three on their "Top Ten Cities For Job Hunting" list for 2006. And why wouldn't it be?
The unemployment rate sits at just four percent. The newly developed family friendly entertainment industry has revamped Vegas' classic image, and even the construction industry is in full up swing. Las Vegas is a mature city with the distinct advantage of still having lots of rooms to expand. The Las Vegas Valley is rapidly growing-a rare feat for such a classic beauty.
Las Vegas Neighborhoods
Low interest rates have the Las Vegas housing market in full bloom, marking the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the city's affordable housing. There are a number of neighborhoods in the city offering attractive real estate as just one of the premier perks:
Southwest Las Vegas: West of the famous strip and south of Charleston Boulevard, the Southwest Las Vegas neighborhood is growing at the speed of light. Luxury housing developments are scattered all over the southern part of the neighborhood. Those posh developments include, Red Rock Country Club, Peccole Ranch, The Lakes, Queensridge and The Spanish Trail Country Club. The upscale Southern Highlands Country Club is also located here.
Get a little closer to The Strip and you just might snag access to one of the ranch tudor homes that first went up in the 1960's. There are a number of communities in this area of Southwest Las Vegas including, Rancho Bel Air, McNeil Estate and Scotch 80's. Many families opt for one of the affordable apartment dwelling after first setting foot on the desert. Southwest Vegas shares it's shopping and entertainment facilities with The Strip.
Northeast Las Vegas: Northeast Las Vegas is one of the emerging real estate jewels in the area. There is an air force base, Nellis, and the base has gotten a lot of new neighbors in the last few years. Affordable structures are going up all over Northeast Las Vegas. The community holds the honor as the best place to watch a sunset, as the community hangs at just the right angle to overlook the city.
North Las Vegas: North Vegas is making a comeback, well, more of a revamping. Just like the rest of the city. New businesses, like casinos, shopping centers and restaurants, are setting up shop near the new Interstate 15 freeway-which is near North Vegas. Thanks in part to the new developments, North Las Vegas is changing it's image and quickly becoming a sought after community of economically priced real estate for families.
Summerlin: If you can't stand the heat, move over to Summerlin! Summerlin is noted as one of the coolest areas in Vegas. That likely has something to do with it's location right on the edge of the Spring Mountains. Summerlin is a city within a city, and this is one city that was carefully planned. There are other planned American communities, like Reston, Virginia outside of Washington, DC for instance, but Summerlin is one of the fastest growing planned communities.
Summerlin is made up of several proud and diverse neighborhoods. Amongst them are, The Vistas, The Hills, The Arbors, The Willows and The Gardens, but none as luxurious as The Canyons. Summerlin is the most affluent neighborhood in Vegas, boasting forty-nine outdoor parks for enjoying the dry temps, multiple golf and tennis courts and over forty miles of trail for biking and hiking.
Green Valley: Green Valley is a part of the Southeast Las Vegas Valley. The red-tiled ranch homes that scream Nevada have been in this area since the Nixon Administration. Now there are new housing developments going up, many of which are completed with lots of space for a pony or two. There is an area of the Green Valley designated especially for equestrian use.
The Galleria is the place to be in Green Valley. Along with major retailers and outstanding restaurants, the Galleria is the next door neighbor to the largest consortment of car dealers in the state. Pick up a new pair of jeans and a new SUV on the way home.
Henderson: Henderson is one of the reasons, Las Vegas tops the list of fastest growing American cities. Henderson is the Las Vegas Valley's fast growing area, and one the first growing on this side of North America. The weather isn't the only thing steaming in Henderson. The real estate market is on fire thanks to several housing developments that have sprung up in the last decade. A number of ritzy communities that spell upscale are scattered across the area too, including: Anthem Country Club, Green Valley Ranch and Seven Hills.
Henderson prides it's self on being "child-friendly." Parks, concerts and family recreation all help make Henderson an outstanding place to grow up.
Things To Do In Las Vegas
It makes sense to start with the weddings, after all, there's only one thing Vegas has more of than wedding chapels-casino chips. It isn't all about driving up to an abandoned McDonald's Restaurant turned wedding chapel and speeding off after being married by Elvis anymore. Las Vegas offers many options for a "real wedding," nuptials with all the trimmings; the big white dress, a five tier cake, the big belly poking out from under all that lace, and a disgruntled dad holding a shotgun.
There's a lot more to do in Vegas than just get married for the nightlife lover. The city is just bustling with activity. Strip attractions include: Atomic Testing Museum, Zoological-Botanical Park, Las Vegas Art Museum, Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Nevada State Museum, Lied Children's Museum.

Las Vegas is one of the most fastest grwoing city in the US. Thousands of people move to Las Vegas every month. Why not make Las Vegas your Home.

Many beautiful communities are spread throughout Las Vegas and Henderson. Golfing is a great past time here.

This community is called Tuscany Village surrounded by a golf corse and beautiful landscaped parks and street scapes.

Most homes that are built in Las Vegas are of stucco exteriors and tile roof. This is very durable and helps keep the heat out.
