Renting vs. Buying

"Think about it. Have you really saved by renting? Every month that goes by may cost you more money to buy a home."

Ironically, this is the best time to buy a home. If you have been thinking about buying a home and have been putting it off, then this is the time to buy here in Las Vegas, NV. Many new home builders are offering incentives and great financing. Why is this? Because many new homes are sitting completed without buyers and they need to be filled. This is the right time. Who knows when the prices will increase.

Some people are waiting. They want to time things just right to buy when values (home prices) reach there bottom. The problem with this theory is that unless you are an expert you

are waiting on the news media to tell you things are improving; which is after things start improving. Most people are not going to be able to tell you when the housing market will reach the bottom.

Take into consideration rent. If you are putting off buying a home because you want to wait another 6 to 12 months to see if prices fall another $5,000, guess what you just blew your $5,000 savings because you are paying $600 to $900 a month in rent to someone else at a cost of $7,200 to $10,800 per year.
